Emergency crews respond to two-car accident

MARQUETTE — Emergency crews responded tonight to a two-car accident in the city of Marquette. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening on US-41 near the Marquette Mall. The two cars involved were a Chevrolet Suburban and a Pontiac Sunfire.

Both vehicles had single occupants that were treated and released at the scene, and the vehicles were towed from the scene due to extensive damage. Police are still investigating what caused the crash.

The Marquette City Fire Department, Marquette City Police, Marquette County Sheriff, U.P. Health System EMS and Mr. Wrecker Towing all responded.
