Pet adoption fair allows people to adopt for free
MARQUETTE — The Fox Motors location in Marquette paired up with the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter to hold their annual find a friend with fox event.
At this event, animals from UPAWS were brought to Fox Motors and put up for adoption. Anyone from the public was invited to stop by and pick up a new friend. This event is a great chance to adopt a pet because it will not cost you a single penny.
There was a great variety of animals to choose from, fulfilling any animal lover’s preference.
“If you are looking for an animal, this is a great way to get one. We take care of all the adoption fees for this day and they can pick any dogs, we got kittens, rabbits, gerbils, and even chickens,” said Fox Motors Brand Manager, Marty Rose.
The two organizations were happy to come together and help out the community.
“We want to thank Fox Marquette very much, Fox Motors are wonderful supporters of UPAWS in this community and we are greatly appreciative,” said UPAWS Community Outreach Coordinator, Ann Brownell.
The Fox Motors Brand Manager did mention that they plan on having another similar event next year.
