Assault suspect enters plea agreement

IRON MOUNTAIN — An Iron Mountain man who was placed in jail after an investigation into two separate domestic assaults has entered a plea.

At his preliminary exam in Dickinson County District Court, 26-year-old Joshua Faccio pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge. That charge is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine. The ten-year felony charge of assault by strangulation was dismissed along with his habitual offender notice.

Faccio was arrested after an investigation into two separate assaults in Iron Mountain that police say happened in March. He is scheduled for sentencing on May 17th.
