City Police Department announces new Detective Captain

MARQUETTE — The Marquette City Police Department has announced the promotion of Detective/Lieutenant Michael Kohler to the position of Detective Captain effective today. Kohler is replacing Detective Michael Wasie, who retired last Friday.

Detective Kohler has been with the Marquette City Police Department since September, 1992. He has served as a DARE Officer, Youth Services Officer, Evidence Technician, and was promoted to Detective/Sergeant in 2013. He received the Detective/Lieutenant promotion the next year.
