Baraga County drug bust suspects appear in court

BARAGA — Two of the seventeen people arrested in a major drug bust last December appeared in Baraga County Circuit Court earlier today.

32–year–old Corey Haataja of L’Anse was charged with delivery or manufacture of morphine in relation to an incident in late November. 43–year–old Angela Salbashian, also of L’Anse was charged with delivery or manufacture of morphine relating to an incident last March, and delivery or manufacture of oxycodone relating to an incident in May 2014.

Each count carries a maximum penalty of twenty years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
