Businesses & artists collaborate together for ‘Art Week’
MARQUETTE — The first annual ‘Art Week’ put together by the Marquette Arts and Culture Center gives an opportunity for all types of art to be displayed throughout different businesses in downtown Marquette.
More than 60 businesses signed up to show off all kinds of artwork from local artists.
“One of the biggest events that’s coming up is this Thursday from 4–9pm,” said Tiina Harris, who works at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center. “There will be receptions throughout downtown Marquette. Retail businesses are having receptions for artists and street performers will be in the streets. It’s going to be a real wonderful night to come out and see art.”
The first annual ‘Art Fest’ runs through Saturday.
