Tech’s Watson suspended for one game

EDINA, Minn. – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) league office today announced a one-game suspension for Michigan Tech sophomore defenseman Cliff Watson, effective for the Huskies’ next NCAA Division I contest.

The suspension is a result of Watson’s penalty for contact to the head (elbowing), which occurred at the 9:44 mark of the third period of Michigan Tech’s game of Saturday, Feb. 6 against Bemidji State.

Michigan Tech’s next scheduled game is Friday, Feb. 13 at Alaska Anchorage. Watson would be eligible to return for the Huskies’ Saturday, Feb. 14 contest against the Seawolves in Anchorage.
