U.P. Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2015

ESCANABA -Ten people have been selected for induction into the Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame. The selections were made by the UPSHF executive council while meeting recently in Hancock.

The inductees include: former University of Michigan basketball player Carly Benson Harrington of Carney, former Miss Basketball and University of
Michigan basketball player Krista Clement of St. Ignace, former NFL lineman Paul Feldhausen of Iron Mountain, Ontonagon High School basketball coach Dick Franti, former ski jumper and U.P. golf champion Jack Hooper of Iron Mountain, former LPGA golfer Becky Iverson of Gladstone, the late Don
Miller of Houghton, who is the state’s winningest high school hockey coach, the late Hugh “Muzz” Murray of Sault Ste. Marie, who played in the National
Hockey League, former NMU football star and coach/administrator Wayne Sickler of Calumet, and former Central Michigan University and Wishigan
League pitcher Steve Swanson of National Mine.

The 44th annual induction banquet will be held May 9, 2015 at Island Resort & Casino in Harris.
