Quinnesec woman accused of US-2 hit-and-run identified

A Quinnesec woman will return to court later this month on charges that she drove drunk and hit a construction worker on US-2.

Andrea Drawski, 34, is charged with operating while intoxicated causing serious injury and failure to stop and identify at the scene of a personal injury crash.

She’s been arraigned in District Court and has a preliminary exam scheduled for July 25th. Drawski is in the Dickinson County Correctional Center on $15,000 bond.

The accident happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. Central time Thursday on US-2 in Breitung Township. Police say a trooper on patrol saw a construction worker fall to the ground near 3rd Street after being hit by a westbound vehicle. Drawski is accused of being the driver.

Police say the construction worker is Kenneth Thompson, 54, of Saginaw. He was treated at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and released.
