“Dancing With the Stars: Marquette County Style” organizers create new way to see show
“Dancing With the Stars: Marquette County Style” may be sold out, but that doesn’t mean you can’t see the show.
If you couldn’t get a regular ticket, you can now buy a LIVE Stream ticket. The LIVE Stream simulcast will be hosted at Northern Michigan University in the C.B. Hedgcock building, next door to the Forest Roberts Theatre.
“You still have access to the event through these live streaming simulcast screens,” U.P. Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty CEO Jeff Nyquist said. “You still have access to the food and drink and the mingling, and in some ways, it’s got a nice feel of its own with a little more laid-back atmosphere.”
The extra venue was added when tickets for the event sold out in just two days. The competition has generated a lot of excitement in the community, with 1,200 votes already cast.
“We couldn’t be more proud of the response from this community,” Nyquist said.
Tickets cost $25 and include one vote for your favorite team. The competition takes place on May 22nd. Doors open at 5 p.m. for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and the dancing will begin at 7 p.m.
