Monday Weather
After some early fog, skies cleared nicely for most of the U.P. Monday afternoon as temperatures were mild across the viewing area.
However, there were some areas that saw light showers, and an isolated chance continues into the night.
Skies become mostly cloudy with temperatures cooling off to the 30’s for overnight lows as winds change their direction and come out of the northwest between 5 to 15 mph.
Winds become a lot stronger for Tuesday, zipping by at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Skies will try to clear during the day, but clouds look to hold on in some areas and which will help hold down high temps in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s.
Tuesday night high pressure finally beats out the clouds and brings back clear skies to the region. Lows drop more than the night before and are expected to be below the freezing mark into middle 20’s while winds weaken a bit to 5 to 10 mph.
By Wednesday sunny skies return and along with them, milder temps.
