High-speed chase suspect found in Laurium
A man who was on the run all weekend after taking police on a high-speed chase through Houghton County has been found.
The Houghton County Police Department said Travis Kuopus, 26, was found shortly before 4 p.m. at a home in Laurium.
Police were looking for Kuopus since Friday night after he fled the scene of a domestic situation at Walmart in Houghton. He then took police on a high-speed chase through Houghton, Hancock, and Dollar Bay.
He is currently lodged in the Houghton County Jail and will be arraigned in 97th District Court Tuesday.
