Escanaba man facing meth lab charge

An Escanaba man may spend up to 20 years in jail on a felony drug charge.

Robert Francis Hanley, 43, was arraigned Tuesday on one count of maintaining and operating a meth lab.

Deputies from the Delta County Sheriff’s Department discovered meth lab components at his Ford River Township home on December 26, 2013.

Certified meth responders from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team assisted in the investigation and removed hazardous meth related components.

Hanley will be back in court for a preliminary exam on March 6.
