UPDATE: Man injured in Marquette County snowmobile accident

Police have released the name of a man taken to the hospital after a snowmobile crash in southern Marquette County.

Deputies from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office say that 50-year-old Scott Lobajeski of North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin failed to negotiate a curve while traveling south on Trail No. 33 in Wells Township. Lobajeski’s snowmobile left the trail and struck a tree, and he was ejected from the vehicle. The accident happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday about 3 miles north of County Road SY.

Lobajeski sustained injuries to both of his legs. He was transported to Marquette General Hospital for treatment, and reports say he was responsive en route to the hospital.

Marquette General and Forsyth Township EMS, Marquette County Search and Rescue 131, and the Forsyth Township Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene.
