Heroin bust in Chippewa County
Two people are being held in the Chippewa County Jail after a drug bust last week.
Sam Kendrick, Jr.; 24, of Detroit is charged with three counts of delivery of heroin and one count of possession of heroin with intent to deliver. Onalee Chippewa, 32, of Brimley is facing one count of conspiracy to deliver heroin and one count of maintaining a drug house. Their preliminary exam is scheduled for December 30th in 91st District Court in Sault Ste. Marie.
The Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement team, or SANE, arrested Kendrick and Chippewa in a home in Superior Township last Tuesday, December 17th. Kendrick is being held on $250,000 bond. Chippewa has had bond set at $100,000.
