Huskies to play on national television
When the Michigan Tech women’s basketball team plays at Ashland on January 11, they will be playing in front of more than just the fans at Kate Gymnasium.
CBS Sports Network will broadcast the game live between the Huskies and Eagles to a national television audience. The last time the Tech women’s basketball team played on television was the 2011 NCAA Division II Championship game on ESPN2.
“We’re thrilled to get the chance to play on national TV again,” said head coach Kim Cameron, in a statement released to the media. “It’s great exposure for our program, and it’s going to be a very highly anticipated game for both teams.”
Tipoff between the two teams has been moved up from 1 p.m. to 11:30 a.m.
