NMU’s Scepaniak injured vs. Eagles
Northern Michigan University starting quarterback Cody Scepaniak was injured during the Wildcats game against Ashland on Saturday.
Scepaniak appeared to injure his right ankle midway through the first quarter. On second and goal from the 5-yard line, the senior signal caller took the snap for a 4-yard gain up the middle.
After the play, Scepaniak had trouble putting weight on his right foot. He played until halftime. Scepaniak was in street clothes and on crutches for the second half of the game.
The Wildcats game next game is on Saturday, Oct. 5 against Hillsdale. It is unknown at this time whether or not Scepaniak will play against the Chargers.
Junior quarterback Dustin Thomas took over for the injured Scepaniak in the second half of the Wildcats 52-24 loss to the Eagles.
