Grosse Pointe out at LLWS
It was a magical run while it lasted, but the Grosse Pointe Woods Shores (Mich.) baseball team played their final game at the Little League World Series on Tuesday.
Grosse Pointe fell to the Czech Republic, 5-3, in a consolation game. Antonio Moceri and Thomas Maxey each hit a solo home run for Grosse Pointe in the second inning to give them a 2-0 lead.
Chad Lorkowski had an RBI single in the third inning for Grosse Pointe, extending their lead out to 3-0. However, the Czech Republic would score the final five runs in the game to secure the first ever win for their country at the Little League World Series.
