Cadet wrestlers training in Marquette

The United States Olympic Education Center is lending a hand in training members of USA Wrestling’s Cadet World Team.

The 15 to 17-year-old wrestlers are training in Marquette through Friday, Aug. 16. Each of the wrestlers earned a spot on the national team by winning their weight class at the FILA Cadet Nationals back in May.

USOEC head wrestling coach Rob Hermann will serve as the team’s coach at the upcoming Cadet World Championships in Zrenjanin, Serbia on Aug. 20-21.

“Bringing the team to NMU was important to us,” said Hermann in a press release. “These are the top guys in their age group in the country and we wanted to give them a look at NMU and our program.”
