Dellangelo out as IHS b-ball coach
Mark Dellangelo has resigned as the head coach of the Ishpeming girls varsity basketball team. Dellangelo coached the Lady Hematites for four seasons (2009-13).
According to a family member, Dellangelo wants to spend more time with his family.
In his first season back in 2009-10, Dellangelo guided Ishpeming to a respectable 13-7 record.
The Lady Hematites have won back-to-back district titles (2012-13), and have made appearances in the regional semifinals (2012) and the regional finals (2013) the last two seasons Dellangelo was in charge.
Ishpeming will return seven players with varsity experience this fall, including Jessica Spencer and Kaylie Engler.
