Rolston to remain with Buffalo Sabres
Former Michigan Tech hockey player Ron Rolston is now officially the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. The team removed the interim tag from Rolston’s job title today.
Rolston took over for former Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff in February after the Sabres struggled to begin the season. Rolston led Buffalo to a 15-11-15 record down the stretch in the lockout shortened year.
Before coaching the Sabres, Rolston coached the teams American Hockey League affiliate, the Rochester Americans, for just over one year. Buffalo finished 12th in the Eastern Conference standings, missing the playoffs.
