On Saturday, February 2 at 7:00 pm, the Marquette Redmen Varsity Hockey Team will face off against the Marquette Electricians at Lakeview Arena. Tony Retaskie, past LOCAL 1070 Electricians business manager and past Marquette Area Public Schools board president, will drop the puck.
The game is a chance for both teams to give back to the community by donating 10% of the proceeds from ticket sales and the 50/50 raffle to The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum. In addition, Marquette West Rotary and Marquette Rotary will sponsor a Hat/Mitten Toss between the first and second periods. Marquette Junior Hockey Mites will help gather all donated items that will then be donated to local schools for students in need.
On top of seeing a great hockey rivalry that evening, fans will also be entertained by the MSHS Pep Band, the MSHS Varsity Dance Team, and MSHS Figure Skating Team. Sport prints and memorabilia will be offered at silent auction all evening as well!
At the conclusion of the game, Bruce Olson will present the winning team with the Olson Cup on behalf of the Olson Family which has a long tradition of supporting Marquette Hockey.
Tickets for the event are $5.00 for everyone between 6 and 59. No passes are will be accepted that evening but under 6 and over 59 are free.
