Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign
The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is in its final two weeks, and officials are worried about reaching the goal for 2012.
Donations have been pouring into the kettles.
Marquette Salvation Army Capt. Joel Arthur says they’re slightly ahead of collections from this time last year, but there’s still a long way to go to reach the $100,000 goal.
He says $53,500 has come in so far, and he hopes that the strength and charitable nature of the Marquette community will help push the Salvation Army to its goal.
All of the money raised in the Red Kettle Campaign stays in the community where it’s collected.
