U.P. represented in State Police Academy grads
The 123rd Trooper Recruit School Graduation was held today in Lansing.
Among the 78 recruits to join State Police ranks, several are from Upper Michigan. The new troopers will be assigned to MSP posts across the state.
Tpr. Leslie Rochefort III, of Munising, will go to the Lansing Post.
Tpr. Brian Savard, of Sault Ste. Marie, has been assigned to the Tri–City Post.
Tpr. Daniel Robertson, from Houghton, will work at the Caro Post.
Tpr. Joshua Henderson, Sault Ste. Marie, is assigned to the Alpena Post.
Tpr. Larry Rossler, of Felch, will work at the nearby Iron Mountain Post.
Tpr. Randall Rovelsky will work at the Wakefield Post. He is from Ishpeming.
Tpr. Joshua Filz will be stationed at the Calumet Post. He’s from Ironwood.
Several of the graduates will be stationed in the Upper Peninsula:
Tpr. Larry Rossler of Felch will be stationed at the Iron Mountain Post, Tpr. Randall Rovelsky – of Ishpeming – is assigned to the Wakefield Post, and Tpr. Joshua Filz will serve in Calumet Post. Filz is from Ironwood.
