Ford Model A Car Decorations
The price of gas is hardly a factor for the Model A Ford Club of America.
The group’s members are coming from all over North America to visit the Upper Peninsula this month.
To prepare for the club’s arrival in Marquette, the Downtown Development Authority is putting out the welcome mat in the form of a public art project.
Nearly 80 wooden cutouts of Model A cars have been decorated to line the streets of the downtown district.
And many different groups have taken part in this art project — individual people, businesses and nonprofit groups.
The car cutouts will be displayed on lampposts along Front, Washington, and Third Streets from June 15th to the 25th.
