New High School Hockey Coach for Escanaba

High school hockey season doesn\’t quite start for a few more months, but that won\’t keep a local prep program from announcing their new leader behind the bench. The Escanaba Eskymos announced the hiring of Tim McCarthy as head coach of the boy\’s hockey team.

McCarthy is not a stranger to the program. He was an assistant for the Eskimos in the late 80\’s and into the early nineties. McCarthy has also been active within the Eskimo’s junior hockey program over the past 20 years.

He replaces Charlie Elliott, whom spent the last 2 seasons coaching the Eskimos. McCarthy will be the 4th coach in the last 6 seasons for the Escanaba hockey program.
