Session Panned fr Teen Drivers
The Marquette General Trauma Center is reaching out to area youth, and their parents, in a new way. It’s hosting a day–long teen driver conference to keep young people safe behind the wheel. The conference is on Saturday, April 30th. It’ll examine teen driving issues through presentations in the morning, and driving simulations that afternoon. Winter driving, the court system, and the safety culture in America are on the schedule.
To register, call 225–4615. The event is limited to 40 teens who must each be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is the first event of its kind MGH has ever hosted. Distracted driving is a major issue for teens. It’s one of the topics at the conference.
The U-S Department of Transportation has made some new public service announcements about it that are currently on the air.
