For 2nd Time This Week, New Swine Flu Case

For the second time this week, the swine flu is confirmed in a part of the U.P. where it hadn’t been seen before.

This time, it’s in Houghton County.

The Western U.P. District Health Department says it’s another young person, an adolescent.

This comes after a child in Delta County was reported a couple of days ago as having the H1N1 flu.

More than 650 people in Michigan have been confirmed as having swine flu since it first surfaced in April.

This is the 4th case in the U.P.

5 Michigan residents have died from it so far.

But local health officials want to once again remind people that even when swine flu does show up, the overwhelming majority of cases aren’t very serious.
