Michigan School Buses Safer Than Ever
Numbers are out from the annual inspection to ensure children’s safety to and from school.
10 state police vehicle safety inspectors have finished this year’s inspections.
They say of the more than 17,000 school buses they inspected, 90% passed, which was a record.
In Marquette County, Negaunee passed with flying colors.
All 10 city school buses received a passing grade.
However, the city of Marquette fell short.
8 of Marquette’s 30 buses received red flags and were immediately taken out of service until fixed.
Only 18 out of the 30 MAPS district buses passed.
