One of the labor unions for NMU faculty now has a new contract with the school.
The Board of Trustees has approved the new 3-year agreement.
The deal is with the NMU Faculty Association, which represents faculty in diploma and certificate programs along with 1-year and 2-year degree programs.
There’ll be a 4% raise this year.
The raises after that haven’t been set yet.
They’ll be worked out in a new round of talks starting next spring.
The new contract brings the Faculty Association into parity with NMU’s chapter of the American Association of University Professors.
That’s the other faculty union on campus.
