Three car crash sends two to the hospital

NEGAUNEE — A three car domino crash sends two people to the hospital.

Fifty-seven year old Mark Aepelbacher from East Jordan was heading East on US 41 when he stopped his car, waiting for another car to turn left onto County Road 496 from US 41.  Fifty-nine year old Pamela Martz from Ishpeming was also heading Eastbound on US 41 when she slowed down for the car driven by Aepelbacher that was stopped in front of her.

At that time Martz’s car was rear ended by 36 year-old Donald Clary from Marquette. The collision forced Martz’s vehicle to rear end the Aepelbacher car that was stopped in front of her.

Martz and Clary were taken to U.P. Health system Bell for non-life threatening injuries. Aepelbacher and his wife complained of minor injuries and may seek medical attention on their own. Clary was cited for failing to stop within assured clear distance

Troopers were assisted by Ishpeming Township Fire and Rescue and U.P. Health System Bell EMS.
