MARQUETTE — The International Food Festival is back for its 30th year.

It’s being held at the Mattson Lower Harbor Park through July 4th. The Marquette County Exchange Club is in charge of the festival. Fans of the event exchange cash for food and drink tokens to sample what local restaurants are serving up.

“We love being down here, being involved with everything that has to do with Marquette and the community,” said Nichole Klingler of Outlander’s. Growing up I loved coming down here and being a part of Food Fest, seeing all of the vendors, taste the food, and hangout with my friends.”

“We’ve got a huge spread of food. Brazilian hot dogs, Chicago dogs, plain dogs for the kids, barbeque pork chops, corn on the cob with different types of butters, and strawberry shortcake.”

The International Food Festival is the Marquette County Exchange Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The festival runs through Saturday, closing each night at 10:30pm.
