HOUGHTON — As craft beer makers get ready for the Keweenaw Brewfest, the Keweenaw Community Foundation is also making their final preparations.

The event features 50 different breweries and over two hundred beers, along with food vendors and live music at Ray Kestner Waterfront Park on Saturday, August 27th.

About 20 – 30 more volunteers are still needed for the event.

Keweenaw Community Foundation Executive Director Jim Vivian said, “Our volunteers help us set up the event on Friday evening and during the event, they help us pour beer.”

Whether you’re pouring beer or sampling the wares…participation helps support over 80 different organizations in the community.

Tickets are on sale for $30 at the Keweenaw Community Foundation’s main office in Hancock, the Keweenaw Brewing Company in Houghton or online.

You can also buy them the day of the event for $10 more.
