Causalities to close after sixteen years, owners thankful for support

MARQUETTE– One local Upper Peninsula business is preparing to close their doors in a couple of months. However, the owners say this is a happy ending.

Causalities in Marquette is preparing to close on December first after sixteen years in business. The co–owners say this decision came after a few years of consideration and that they’re very happy to see where the store has gone. They also say some of the reasons for closing are to spend more time with their families and for a change in pace.

“We’ve been doing this for around 16 years so it’s been a pretty long journey, but we just really want to get the message out that we’re thankful for all the years that we’ve had doing this,” said Co–Owner Andy Jones, “and we appreciate all the support of the community and for casualties this is really a happy ending, this is not a bitter ending or anything like that.”

Jones and his co–owner own the building they work in and they’re not sure what the next step is for the building, located on North Third Street, at this time.
