ISHPEMING — We break down some of the benefits of Crossfit training.

When you enter the “Box” as it is called and you have finished your 6– week on ramp training, you graduate to the Wod.
“The WOD” is the workout of the day. You come in and we have a workout all set for you on the board says Crossfit Athlete, Kristin Hillier. Sometimes we have an amramp which is as many reps as possible in a certain amount of time. We do an amramp of 15 minutes, 3–6–9, which would be 3 pull ups, 6 push–ups and 9 squats. You want to see how many rounds you can get within that 15 minutes.”

As you ramp up your routine, going for form and not speed, is key.
“Now if you are that type of person who does not have a lot of time to work out, Crossfit training may be the perfect type of exercise for you. Instead of an hour of leisure exercise, they recommend pushing yourself to your limit for just 15 – 20 minutes, continued Hillier.”

They have several trainer led onramps and amramps per day.

“It makes it a lot easier, instead of coming in and asking yourself, am I going to do legs today, arms today? here at Crossfit everyday you do every body part, it’s full functional movements.

And although it’s been raining lately, a little bit of adverse weather didn’t stop this Crossfitters from finishing up their Workout Of the Day.
