Drug suspect bound over to circuit court
HOUGHTON — One of the cases in a recent drug bust in Atlantic Mine is moving forward.
Anthony James Vencato, 52, appeared in the 97th District Court in Houghton.
He is facing a felony charge of possession of meth or ecstasy after being arrested a month ago when UPSET detectives executed a search warrant at two adjacent residences. Detectives seized crystal meth and heroin in the search.
Vencato’s case was bound over to Houghton County Circuit Court.
A second suspect in the drug bust, 28-year old Kevin Michael Anderson, is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam in District Court on October 17.
