Huskies Men’s Basketball Receives National Recognition in latest poll
HOUGHTON, MI.- With only seven games left in the season the Michigan Tech Huskies men’s basketball team has been hitting their stride at the perfect time. The team is getting some much deserved recognition, receiving some votes in the latest NCAA Division II NABC coaches top 25 poll. the news marks the first time this season the Huskies have been represented in the poll. The Huskies picked up a two game sweep of Saginaw Valley State at home last weekend. Michigan tech is the only team in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference to garner national attention, and with their recent streak the Huskies moved up to number 6 in the Midwest region D2SIDA poll. The Huskies have been led by junior guard Owen White who is averaging over 20 points a game while shooting over 50 percent from the floor.
