“Virtual Family Prom” to raise money for UP Children’s Museum
MARQUETTE — The UP Children’s Museum is teaming up with Double Trouble DJ’s to put on a virtual family prom, and for a good cause.
The virtual prom celebration is to raise money for the UP Children’s Museum, who have had to shut down due to the COVID–19 pandemic.
Joining the dance party not only helps out a local entity, it’s also a great opportunity for families to have a good time.
“We’ve just been talking the past few weeks about the fact that we miss seeing people and we miss hanging out and this is an opportunity to do the best we can to get together to connect, even if it’s virtually from the comfort of your own home for people to still stay distant, stay safe, and at the same time celebrate some fun dances on a Saturday night,” said Jessica Jones, Board President for the UP Children’s Museum.
The virtual Prom celebration is this Saturday, April 25th; the dance party starts at 6 p.m.
