4th of July celebration details

MARQUETTE — The City of Marquette 4th of July Parade is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. from the corner of West Washington Street and McClellan Avenue.
A special feature of the parade this year starting at 1:45 p.m. will be the Rolling Thunder parade of motorcycles that will ride the entire parade route prior to the actual parade.
The parade route will travel eastbound along Washington Street to Third Street and turn southbound on Third Street to Baraga Avenue where it will conclude.
Residents will encounter several street closures beginning as early as 10 a.m. in some areas to help the parade route be safe for the participants and the public. The streets will be re-opened shortly after the parade has finished.
The Fireworks will be once again be located in the area of the Mattson Lower Harbor Park at dusk on the 4th of July. A rain out date will be the 5th of July in the Lower Harbor.
