12 Arrests in UPSET Drug Sweep
A four-month investigation has netted a dozen U.P. residents on drug charges.
The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team says the 12 people are from Marquette and Delta Counties.
The eight Marquette County residents were from K.I. Sawyer, Chocolay and Forsyth Townships, and the city of Marquette.
The four Delta County residents arrested are all from escanaba.
The charges against the 12 suspects range from 10 counts of delivery of marijuana to several charges of maintaining a drug house and marijuana possession.
Four counts of delivery of other substances, including morphine, were also issued.
The individuals charged range in age from 18 to 50.
Other agencies participating with the UPSET include State Police, the Marquette City Police, the Forsyth Township Police, Escanaba Public Safety and the Delta County Sheriff’s Department.
