Police: Pedestrian Killed May Have Been Drinking
Police say alcohol consumption by the victim may have been a factor in a car-versus-pedestrian fatal accident last night.
State Police from the Negaunee Post say the victim is 41-year-old Todd Timm from Holmen, Wisconsin.
Police say he made a purchase at the Citgo station in Marquette Township just before 7:30 last night.
They believe he was crossing US-41 at Commerce Drive on foot when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by 61-year-old Richard Niemi of Marquette.
The accident is still under investigation.
