Shop With a Cop Tomorrow
A unique program that pairs police officers with children will bring Christmas joy to kids in the U.P. tomorrow.
The Shop With a Cop program helps needy children get presents they might not otherwise receive.
Marquette County Sheriff Mike Lovelace says about 50 kids in Marquette County will each get $100 gift card to spend.
And the shopping experience is an adventure from start to finish.
The kids meet up with their shopping buddies at the Marquette County Courthouse.
Then they’ll ride in a chauffeured limousine to Wal-Mart with a police escort.
This will be the second year of Shop With a Cop.
It’s funded by donations to the Sheriff’s Department
