Calumet wins title; Huskies defeat Lions

CALUMET – The Calumet Copper Kings volleyball team has the talent to win a state championship. The month of November is a perfect time to be clicking on all cylinders, as the Copper Kings were against L’Anse Thursday night. Calumet won the match, 3-0, to win a Class ‘C’ District championship. In other sports action in the Copper Country, the Michigan Tech women’s basketball team defeated Finlandia, 107-56, in an exhibition game.
