Quinnesec streets closing for firefighters tournament

Some streets in Quinnesec will be closing Thursday through Saturday to make way for an annual tradition.

Officials from the Dickinson County Road Commission say portions of Quinnesec Street, Lincoln Street, and Menominee Street will be closed for the 120th U.P. Volunteer Firefighters Association Tournament.

Quinnesec Street will be closed between US-2 and Menominee Street between 8:00 and 11:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Lincoln Street will also be closed between the intersection of Forest View and Quinnesec Street from 6:00 p.m. until midnight, and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Menominee Street will be closed from the intersection of Division Street to Quinnesec Street from 6:00 a.m. Friday until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.
