NICE Schools Closed by Flu Concern
U.P. school districts continue to cancel classes due to fear of a flu outbreak.
The NICE Community Schools in Ishpeming Township are closed for the rest of the week.
Superintendent Mike Haynes called UGN News to say it’s because of a high rate of students absent with flu-like symptoms.
Yesterday, the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area Schools decided to close until Wednesday because a large percentage of their students also called in sick with flu-like symptoms.
The Rapid River schools are also closed today and tomorrow.
