Break-Ins at Children’s Museum
The U.P. Children’s Museum was in for quite a shock over the weekend, as a thief broke in twice in less than a week.
One of the break-ins happened over the weekend, and it’s been caught on tape.
Museum Director Nheena Weyer Ittner says the thief took money out of the donation box that would have been spent on a new heater.
And she says this past weekend isn’t the only time the thief has struck.
For the last month and a half, the museum has faced constant break-ins, leading staff to take further action to protect their young visitors and employees.
One of those actions is to set up a surveillance camera.
It caught one of the robberies on tape.
If you have any information that might lead to the thief, Weyer Ittner is asking you to call the Marquette City Police at 228-0400.
