Menominee County Underage Alcohol Sting
9 Menominee County businesses may be at risk of losing their liquor licenses.
They’ve been caught selling alcohol to minors.
The Menominee County Sheriff’s Department says they recently ran a sting operation.
They sent underage decoys into bars, restaurants, convenience stores and grocery stores to see if they could buy alcohol.
Bars in Menominee, Wallace, Powers and Faithorn got caught.
So did gas stations in Powers, Stephenson and Cedar River.
A Menominee restaurant and a grocery store in Daggett are also involved.
Employees at all 9 establishments have been cited for selling alcohol to a minor.
A grant from the Delta and Menominee Counties’ Public Health Department paid for the alcohol sting.
