Wind Advisory & Flood Statement on Lake Superior
The National Weather Service has issued a lakeshore flood statement and wind advisory for Marquette, Alger and Gogebic counties, as well as other areas along Lake Superior.
It’s effective until tomorrow night.
Winds between 35 and 55 miles per hour are expected.
And they’re expected to create 20-to-25-foot waves along those areas through tomorrow morning.
Dangerous conditions will exist along the shoreline of Marquette and Alger counties.
The NWS is suggesting that everyone stay clear of the lake, and that Lakeshore Boulevard in Marquette could become flooded.
