Iron County Woman Shot Accidentally
An Iron County woman is still in the hospital tonight after being shot accidentally last night.
It happened shortly after 8:30 Central time in Mastodon Township.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Department says it’s a 26-year-old woman.
Inside a home on Camp 5 Road, she took a small-calibre gunshot wound to the leg.
She was taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain and then St. Vincent’s in Green Bay.
She’s still there tonight.
But her condition, her name and where in Iron County she’s from are not being released.
That’s because deputies are still investigating what happened.
