SUV vs. Pedestrian Prelim Pushed Back
The downstate man accused of killing 3 people in Mackinac County by running them over with his SUV has his court date pushed back.
28-year-old Dustan Bowen of Sanford will have his prelim exam September 15th in St. Ignace.
He’s facing 3 counts of 2nd-degree murder, and 1 count of failure to report an at-fault accident resulting in death.
Bowen is accused of being the driver in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Newton Township July 25th.
Jonel Hoogterp and Julie Hatch, both from Durham, North Carolina, and Sara Dobbrastine of downstate Kent City all died from their injuries.
Two other pedestrians also got hit.
One has been out of the hospital for more than a week.
The other is still in stable condition at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital in Newberry.
